Описание: Dr. Sugam Kumar is a Scientist at Inter-University Accelerator Centre (IUAC), New Delhi, India. He obtained his Ph.D. from Jawahar Lal Nehru University, New Delhi. His PhD work was on Design of a Penning Trap to study ions in extreme laser fields at GSI Helmholtz Centre for Heavy Ion Research, Darmstadt, Germany. He is currently setting up the Penning Trap Facility at IUAC to study the electron impact ionization cross section and the life time of the metastable state of heavy highly charged ions resulting from collisions of relativistic electrons with energies between 2 and 5MeV.
