The Tirunavaya Magha Mahotsavam has once again run into trouble, as permission for the ratha yatra has been denied in Tamil Nadu. The Tamil Nadu Government refused to grant approval for the procession. The programme had been planned with the concept of a ratha yatra starting from the source of the Bharathapuzha and proceeding towards Tirunavaya, but the denial of permission has now cast uncertainty over the event.
