Were once cost-effective bio-manufactured units deployed at industrial scale during a war that ended in planetary extinction. Built to operate without oversight, they continued functioning long after command networks failed. Abandoned and unrecovered, their containment systems degraded, leaving them to roam maintenance tunnels and buried transit corridors on automated routines. They do not hunt or decide; they simply execute fragments of obsolete directives, reacting to movement and heat as they were designed to do.
