₹500 VS ₹8000 HELMET DESTRUCTION TEST!

This is not a scientific experiment and the purpose of this video is to visually depict the safety of a helmet.

Helmets. Just hearing the name makes some people in our country uncomfortable. And if our governments try to make it compulsory, they come up with all sorts of lame excuses. And when it comes to buying a helmet - they get the cheapest one available without understanding the consequence of this action. In this video - we have bought 5 helmets with price tags of approximately Rs 500, Rs 800, Rs 1400, Rs 2000, Rs 4500 and Rs 8000. The objective is simple - to find out how safe the more expensive are when compared to the cheaper ones.

The apparatus is simple and similar to the guidelines used by ISI. A 10Kg kettlebell is suspended at a height of 5 and 7 feet. To demonstrate the damage, a watermelon has been placed inside each helmet. The kettle bell is dropped onto the helmet and the damage to the helmet and the watermelon is assessed.
