I went to a Clothing Swap! | Try on Haul

Описание: Early March I went to The Global Fashion Exchange + The Clothing Exchange Clothing swap at the Royal Exhibition building as part of VAMFF 2019! Special thanks to Coco for encouraging me to come!

I went through my wardrobe the night before and surprisingly easily (we should all do this lol) found 5 items I no longer wanted. Basically you can donate up to 5 items of good quality undamaged clothing and you get buttons to spend as currency (so cute right?)

There were a few rules;
Don’t hold more than 6 items hanging
If you want to take something you must remove it from its hanger and drape it over your arm
Be nice (lol)

I donated these 5 things I no longer loved and went shopping!

I had never heard or had even been to an event like this so I thought it would be fun to take you along with me. This is the first time I’ve ever filmed in public and it was super difficult to bargain hunt with one hand so apologies for the shaky footage, but hey we try!

Every 10 minutes 6 tonnes of clothing is thrown out in Australia, and on average we only wear our clothes a total of seven times. This is a scary number, but guess what? YOU can change it! One of the simplest and most sustainable ways to give garments greater longevity is to provide them with a second life with a new owner.
