Описание: Welcome to Epsom in Auckland on a windy spring day. One of Auckland's more affluent suburbs and home to a couple of top schools - it's a mix of residential and commercial activity.

Auckland Grammar School and Epsom Girls Grammar are located in Epsom (two of the top schools in the country), and the phenomenon of the "Grammar Zone" or "Double Grammar Zone" exists in Epsom which has inflated house prices. Parents wishing to live in-zone for Auckland Grammar and Epsom Girls' can expect a premium compared with an identical house just outside the Grammar Zone. Subsequently some of Auckland's highest earners make their home here.

The walk begins on Manukau Road near Greenwood's Corner and up past some of residential Epsom. From there we keep on up Manukau Road towards upper Alexandra Park, finishing at the Campbell Crescent entry.

Nearby suburbs are: north Newmarket and Grafton; north-east Remuera; east Greenlane; south-east Cornwall Park; south Three Kings and Onehunga; west Sandringham and Mount Eden.

The total distance is about 1.2km and was recorded in spring 2021 with a temperature of 19°C. The Covid alert level was at Level 3 a the time of recording - so fairly reduced traffic/activity levels, more mask wearing, contactless services etc.

My brother came along for this walk with me. He doesn't say anything or pop in front of the camera, but you can here him scuff his shoes every now and again! It was nice to have his company, especially on the walk back
