The purpose of the Society of American Archivists – Archivists of Religious Collections Section, Models and Resources Committee (MRC) is to provide information to section members on all aspects of archival work relating to the administration of religious collections.
Lisa Snider leads a "Lunch and Learn" session for the Archivists of Religious Collections section of the Society of American Archivists.
Lisa has over 21 years of experience working with digital accessibility in different settings and contexts, as a web developer, archivist, and librarian, and since 2016, she has been the Senior Digital Accessibility Consultant, and Trainer at Access Changes Everything, a Canadian digital accessibility consulting company headquartered in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Lisa’s passion in life is working with websites, documents, audio, video, social media, email, e-books, and app accessibility. She shares her knowledge to help others lower barriers in these digital materials, making them more accessible for everyone, including people with different disabilities.
Through her company, Access Changes Everything Inc., Lisa provides remediation, presentations, training, procurement consulting, policy development and auditing with auditors with different disabilities, for North American institutions and businesses.
Lisa has also worked with accessibility legislation in Canada, she is an invited member of the Microsoft Inclusive Workplace Customer Advisory Council, collaborating with Microsoft to improve the accessibility of their products, and she is currently working on her PhD in Inclusive Education at Acadia University and Mount Saint Vincent University in Nova Scotia.
Lisa has her MLIS and MAS from UBC, and specialized as a digital archivist working with born digital and made digital materials and media.
