"Scylla was once a beautiful and graceful nymph, admired by all who saw her. Her transformation into a fearsome sea monster came about when the sea god Glaucus fell in love with her. Rejected by Scylla, Glaucus sought the help of the sorceress Circe, hoping she could win Scylla's heart. However, jealous of Scylla's beauty, Circe instead cursed her, turning the nymph into a hideous creature with twelve legs and six heads, each with three rows of sharp teeth. This tragic transformation left Scylla to haunt the waters, terrorizing sailors and becoming one of the most infamous figures in ancient myth."
