An #explosion took place, as a collection of #firecrackers caught fire, and chaos erupted at the Veerarkavu temple at #Nileshwar in #Kasaragod district of #Kerala. In the #FireAccident over 150 people were injured.

The fire accident took place during "Kulichu Thottam", a preparatory ritual for the Moovalamkuzhi Chamundi Theyyam, a major annual event marking the start of the Theyyam season in North Malabar.

Injured are being treated at various hospitals in Kasaragod, Kannur, Mangaluru, Kozhikode..98 treated at various hospitals.. Condition of 8 remains critical.
