We’re starting this season off with Jesse Gunnoe, a guy from Greenbrier County who spent three years underground in the coal mines—yes, actual underground, not your “I hate my office job” underground. Former coal miner, full-time grinder, husband, father, and living proof that some people really do wake up every day and say, “Yeah, let’s go do some dangerous shit for a paycheck.”
While most folks were complaining about Mondays, Jesse was crawling through the dark, breathing coal dust, and trusting his life to teamwork and machinery that absolutely does not give a damn about your feelings. Now out of the mines, he’s got stories, perspective, and zero tolerance for bullshit.
So if you’re looking for fake inspiration and polished nonsense—wrong episode. If you want real talk, hard-earned wisdom, and a little sarcasm from someone who’s actually lived it, you’re in the right damn place.
