Launch Theme Mix | Thunderbirds Are Go

Описание: I’m still working on those Colin Baker titles, but, as I seem to have spare time (the only thing [demonetization word] is good for), I decided to take a break from Doctor Who and sit back. Watch something not Doctor Who – which obviously meant binge-watching Thunderbirds Are Go. Because I am myself, I decided to look up and binge-listen to the soundtrack. Finding out that there are two versions of the launch theme (‘The Launch’ by Ben & Nick Foster), one from series 1 and 2 as well as a new mix for series 3, I decided to try and mix my favourite parts of the two together.

The intro is a mix of both versions, with the series 1 & 2 version fading away first as the intro is shorter. If you listen closely during the last half of the intro, you can hear a muted main melody. The first melody is the series 3 version (distinguishable by synth sounds). Afterwards, the series 1 version merges in and they play roughly in sync, before the S1 fades out so that only the series 3 bridge is audible. The song then crossfades into the series 1 bridge, which then goes into an extended drum section from the episode ‘Heist Society.’ It then fades out for the series 3 ending.

To go with the mix, I decided to compile a launch/suit-up sequence with all characters (except for Gordon, unfortunately) suiting up for rescue, with most shots taken from Legacy (series 1 finale). I let the take-off shots drag on past the remix so that I could overlay a sort-of credits sequence over the shots.
