I’ve spent six weeks living here this winter and this is my homage to the moors and the rivers, to the trees and the animals, to the glorious, magical, wet windy and wild place that is Dartmoor. 🐾Forever Hounds Trust is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of unwanted, abused or abandoned Greyhounds and Lurchers. In 2019 the Greyhound Board of Great Britain (GBGB) data confirmed 4970 injuries and 790 deaths of registered racing greyhounds. This does not include the many more injuries and deaths sustained on unregulated on ‘flapping’ tracks
10,000 dogs are deemed surplus to requirements each year out of all those bred annually for the sport. 8,000 of these are ‘retired’ racers while the rest are young dogs that didn’t make the grade. There are still no regulations to cover the welfare of greyhounds whilst in trainers’ kennels.

🐾Galgo Del Sol rescues and rehabilitates abandoned and injured Galgos for placement in forever homes in the UK, Europe, and US. Bred solely for hunting, thousands of Galgos are killed or abandoned annually at the end of each short hunting season in Spain.

A little about us: I adopted my ex-racing greyhound Miss Nancy three years ago, it was a massive learning curve for both of us and we have become the best of friends, who love going on outdoor adventures, wild swims, van camping and finding vegan food out and about! We make videos showing what it’s like to have a greyhound as a pet, the beautiful outdoors, vanlife, and life with a greyhound!

💔Since I lost my girl earlier this year, I continue to try and make videos exploring the great outdoors and the healing power of nature, promoting animal adoption/rescue and compassionate living, vlogging my travels and my work as a designer/maker.
