Granny's Black Walnut Pound Cake - It's so Good!!

Описание: Granny makes a black walnut pound cake that we all adore! We like it so much we're always asking her to make it for our get togethers here in the Appalachian Mountains.

Here's the recipe:

1 cup butter
1/2 cup shortening
3 cups sugar
5 eggs
3 cups cake flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup milk
1 cup black walnuts
1 tablespoon black walnut flavoring or extract
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Cream butter and shortening well. Add sugar and mix well. Add eggs one at a time mixing after each addition. Sift cake flour and baking powder. Alternately add flour and milk mixing as you go. Mix in black walnuts, flavoring, and vanilla. Pour into greased pan and bake at 325 for 1 and a half hours or till done.
