The Rae Lakes Loop is one of the most popular hikes in all the Sierras. During the quota season, you’ll need a wilderness permit reservation for overnight camping within this area. These reservations can be made up to 6 months in advance and during the quota season, reservations are limited. In this video, I review the permit process along with a few lessons learned as I went through the process to obtain my 2022 passes.
