Beth Blacker of Its Just Stuff at Listen To Your Mother show in Boulder

Описание: Last year our Chief of Chaos to Calm, Beth Blacker, had the honor of sharing a story called "Touch of Love" in front of a sold out audience at The Dairy Arts Center in Boulder, a story about the ritual of making latkes (aka potato pancakes) with her mother every year during Hanukkah as a child and into her adult years until her mother passed away from Multiple Myeloma in 2005 at the age of 65.

Beth has continued the tradition through the years since her mother's death even with her family spread out in various places from coast to coast. A few days after this event last year, she was in CA for the entire Thanksgiving holiday week and made latkes while staying with her brother and sister in law near LA and then another round for her son when she transitioned to spending a few days with him in San Diego.

But there is one day a year when she breaks out two electric frying pans at her home near Boulder to make hundreds of them exactly the way her mother taught her over 5 decades ago and is always happy to make them for anyone who asks.

With Hanukkah beginning at sundown tonight, we want to wish a very Happy Hanukkah to all who celebrate and may the light of every menorah in the world shine brightly and bring peace on earth in the year ahead. ✌️
