By Rail: Bankura Railway Station is the nearest, about 55 km away.


By Road: Well-connected from Kolkata (approx. 270 km) and Bankura. Taxis (approx. ₹3800 from Bankura) or buses are available.

Accommodation: West Bengal Tourism Development Corporation (WBTDC) has a resort, and several private hotels are available near the dam. 

Suggested 2-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Bankura/Bishnupur, transfer to Mukutmanipur, afternoon boat ride to Deer Park and Parashnath temple, and sunset at the dam.


Day 2: Visit Musafirana viewpoint, local sightseeing at Ambikanagar, and depart.
