Scenic Drive Across the Navajo Nation | Colorado Plateau from Glen Canyon to the Goosenecks

Описание: This video documents a scenic drive across the Navajo Nation, traveling from Glen Canyon in northern Arizona to the Goosenecks State Park area in southern Utah. The route follows Arizona Highway 98, U.S. Highway 160, and U.S. Highway 163, crossing extensive portions of the Colorado Plateau marked by wide desert basins, mesas, sandstone escarpments, and deeply incised river valleys. Throughout the drive, exposed sedimentary layers, remnants of volcanic activity, and broad alluvial plains illustrate long-term geological processes that have shaped the region. As the drive approaches Utah, the landscape transitions toward the San Juan River, where tightly carved meanders near Goosenecks State Park reveal the depth and scale of erosion within the plateau. This video provides an objective view of the terrain and geological continuity of this cross-border desert landscape.
