These readings come in no particular order and this one is in fact the last Ukridge story PGW wrote in 1966, forty years or so after many of the Wooster short stories. There seems an observable difference in the morality and rights and wrongs of outcomes presumably as a result of the very changed era that nearly half a century brings. A similar span from the 1980s to the present. And what of the next forty years to the 2060s? That will be for younger folk than me to grapple with.
