This friend had someone tell them this Protege needed a head gasket replacement. He supplied all the parts, but after seeing the car had no significant symptoms of gasket failure, I felt the need to inspect it myself.
I'm glad I found no real problem with this Mazda, but would have liked to have done the job. I did end of doing a complete tune up a week later. It's a nice car, I remember how bad they rot out on the east coast, this one is very clean.
