Witness in Andrea Yates case testifies in Lindsay Clancy trial

Описание: A prominent defense witness in the Lindsay Clancy trial testified Friday that Clancy believed an external force had taken control of her body on the day her three children were killed.

Forensic psychiatrist Dr. Phillip Resnick, a key witness in the Andrea Yates case, told jurors Clancy was experiencing a command hallucination and felt "almost like she was a puppet and someone else was pulling the strings." The defense rested its case following his testimony.

Clancy, 36, is charged with first-degree murder in the deaths of 5-year-old Cora, 3-year-old Dawson and 8-month-old Callan at the family's Duxbury home on Jan. 24, 2023. She has pleaded not guilty.
