He pursued formal training at Codarts University for the Arts in Rotterdam, where he became a skilled multi-instrumentalist, specializing in trombone and percussion. His dual expertise in brass and rhythm allows him to explore a wide range of genres and sounds.

Ko’s musical career first took flight as a member of Jungle by Night, the Amsterdam-based ensemble known for blending afrobeat, jazz, and funk. As the group’s trombonist and percussionist, Ko adds both melodic and rhythmic elements to their unique sound. His contributions have played a pivotal role in the band’s success, helping them gain a loyal following across Europe, performing at iconic festivals like North Sea Jazz and touring internationally.
