Folclor Hispano is an organization that strives to teach dances from the Hispanic speaking world. This performance showcases a mix of three traditional dances from South America. First is a festejo, which translates to a celebration, an upbeat dance from Bolivia and Peru with strong African roots. Then, from Venezuela, Parranda and Tambor Coriano, two dances that developed in the Venezuelan coasts with a strong African influence.
