Preserving a Spinmaster Etch A Sketch!

Описание: The newer Etch A Sketches are easier to preserve for those of us who save our art!

A couple of knives used as leverage to pop off the knobs.
An Exacto Saw was used to cut around the red frame to take it off.
A blade is used to loosen the glue on the top layer of the inner frame.
There is no glue holding in the glass, like in older models, so the glass will lift right off.
Scissors cut the cords to the drawing mechanism, so cut those and pull that system out to prevent future drawing.
Dump the aluminum powder and plastic beads out in a trash can outside as the powder will fly through the air. No need for that in your lungs!
Also be careful about washing out the inside in the sink for the same reason. Soap and water will work. Perhaps a wet clothe or paper towel to help.
I let it dry over night to avoid closing any moister in.
Using E6000, I glue it all together and let it sit with clamps around the red frame.
I also add four eye screws on the back (Four so that it is evenly spaced from the wall on the back.) and then wrap a wire between the top two for hanging.
