The Badminton Association of India vehemently denied Denmark's Mia Blichfeldt's Tuesday critique of the playing conditions at the new IG Stadium venue, claiming that the change in halls has done little to alleviate the "unhealthy surroundings" for players. In anticipation of the August World Championships, which the nation will host for the first time in 17 years, the BAI has relocated this year's India Open Super 750 from the KD Jadhav hall to the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium. Blichfeldt had also called the circumstances at the KD Jadhav hall "unhealthy and unacceptable" during the previous India Open.
