Cruising on an e-scooter under the crisp morning sun, we set off from Deception Bay on an epic 20-kilometre ride. The weather was flawless—clear blue skies, a gentle breeze, and the glassy surface of the bay reflecting the morning light like a mirror. A couple of senior mates, we soaked in the views and the calm energy of the day. We glided past still waters, the path winding through mangroves and open stretches until we reached the Redcliffe Aeroclub. As we arrived, a small Cessna lifted off the runway, its shadow skimming the ground as it soared into the sky, we stopped to watch a few more aircraft. From there, we headed down to Newport, cruising through peaceful streets and along the waterfront paths. Boats bobbed gently in their moorings, and the ocean shimmered endlessly. The natural beauty all around us was almost surreal.Looping back to Deception Bay, the ride felt too short despite the distance. It was more than just a trip—it was a celebration of freedom, friendship, and the simple joy of a beautiful day on two wheels.
