William Wolstenholme was an English composer and organist living from 1865 - 1931. A lot of his music can now be accessed on the website IMSLP, of which there is a fair amount.
His Prelude in B flat is to be found in an album of pieces by the composer and is a typical example of English organ music of this period, a nice lyrical tune with mostly regular harmonies with the odd suprise thrown in! Wolstenholme was blind and became close friends with the also blind organist, Alfred Hollins. You can hear echoes of Hollins in this piece.
Performed at Carlisle Cathedral
