Commodore Alison Hofman, Royal Navy Nurse and Museum Trustee, welcomes you to the online exhibition. 'British Military Nursing in Peace and War' connects the contributions of Florence Nightingale and Mary Seacole in the Crimean War to the development of military nursing. Through the stories of individual nurses, it highlights experiences in war and peacetime from across the tri-service, from students, to regulars and reservists, to veterans. Also hear from their patients, NHS colleagues, and historical experts.
