In this episode of the American Kustom Car Build Off Series, we take a huge step forward on our 1960s Full Custom - 1966 Chrysler Newport project.
We prep the donor roof, set it onto the Newport, and start welding it in place to see if we can successfully pull off what we’re calling a “roof transplant.”
Turning a convertible into a hardtop isn’t exactly a small job, and this custom fabrication project pushes the build into completely new territory.
To finish off the look, we also start working on a custom visor to give the car that classic kustom styling.
This build is starting to get wild, and there’s a lot more fabrication coming soon.
