Watermelons are the real deal in summers and here's a fizzy beverage prepared with fresh watermelons and lemons to beat the heat!
WATERMELON FIZZ
Ingredients
1 medium watermelon
½ cup sugar
1 Italian lemon
1 tbsp lemon juice
Ice cubes as required
6-8 mint sprigs + as required
Tonic water as required
Method
1. Heat a nonstick pan. Add sugar and ½ cup water and cook till sugar melts. Strain in a jar and allow to cool.
2. Halve the watermelon and scoop out small roundels and deseeds. Freeze for 3-4 hours. Cut the remaining watermelon into cubes.
3. Slice lemon thickly.
4. Put watermelon in a blender jar, add lemon juice and blend finely. Strain through a fine strainer.
5. Add ice cubes, sugar syrup, lemon slices, mint sprigs and mix well.
6. Add ice cubes in serving glass. Add frozen melon balls, lemon slices, mint sprigs and a portion of prepared juice.
7. Top up with tonic water and serve chilled
