I wanted a stable camera mount for the dash of my Jeep. I found this Tarot GoPro gimbal and a cheap chinese GoPro knock-off do a great job!

They changed the camera cradle though, so you may need to figure out how to mount your camera. I have one of these to work on, and will post an update when I've had a chance to try it out.
