PDX Police Chief talks about his response when he first heard of 2 officers injured during shooting

Описание: Someone shot and wounded two Portland police officers Monday night in the Lloyd District of Northeast Portland, prompting a massive police response as officers searched for the shooter.

This morning, just after 5:30 a.m., Portland Police said they had concluded the search for the suspect in the Sullivan's Gulch Neighborhood, but had not found him. Police also released two photographs of the suspect.

"The suspect is described as a Caucasian male in his mid-30's, facial hair, black baseball cap, black jacket over a gray hooded sweatshirt, black pants, and black shoes," Portland Police said in a statement. "He is believed to be armed with a knife and handgun. He was also seen with a black backpack and a green shopping bag."

Police say the suspect is considered armed and dangerous. If you see him or know his location, you are asked to call 911.

The two officers were in stable condition at a hospital, according to officials.
