It is possible to destroy the weak point of the Ultimate Sakapatate early. You can use free aim with a weapon with Fire element, which will stagger the Ultimate Sakapatate and expose the weak point. It was the reason I switched to Lighterim for Lune. When I tested the fight though, I wanted to include parrying the canon attack, which only occurs when the Sakapatate gets to keep the shield.
