The civil suit on the Ayodhya land dispute will be heard by a newly constituted three-judge bench of the Supreme Court on October 29th. The apex court paved the way for hearing in the main Ayodhya title suit on September 27th, while pronouncing its verdict in a related case. In a 2:1 majority verdict, a three-judge bench of the Supreme Court ruled that the 1994 Ismail Faruqui case, which said mosques are not integral to Islam, will not be referred to a larger bench.
