join me for wash day as i try out the new aveda botanical repair strengthening line (shampoo, conditioner, masque, and leave-in) on my highlighted type 3 curly hair for the first time

two-month update: after using these products on myself and my hair clients for a few months, i've been able to better evaluate the efficacy of this line. it's a very luxurious and high-end feeling line, and pretty much everybody LOVES the fresh forest scent. the line adds a beautiful shine to dull, damaged hair of all types/patterns, though i recommend this line most for type 3 curls and type 4 coils.

official coastal curl product grades:
shampoo - 4.5/5 stars, gently clarifying without overdrying
conditioner - 4.5/5 stars, very nice detangler, hydrating
light masque - 3/5 stars, feels a little too light for damaged curls
heavy masque - 4/5 stars, a luxurious feeling mask, curls left noticeably shinier
leave in conditioner - 2/5 stars, formula too light, and bottle wayyyy too small for curly hair
