Just another one of those fifteen-minute "transit monitoring" videos of the Moon... One with a story to tell that will, hopefully, make it easier to remember the names of some of the more obvious lunar features. BUT you'll have to do your own research into them names...
Here are the list of features making up the "Green Cheese Lobster" story associated with this astro-vid:
(No particular order) Plato, Crisium, Tranquillitatus, Clavius, Serenitatus, Nectaris, Tycho, Stevinus, Imbrium, Fecunditatis, & Alpes. Descriptors include: Monte, Mare, Crater & Walled Plain, Two craters emanate Rays which become more luminous as the Sun culminates. Lunar exploration (and remembrance of feature names) is enhanced when the mind links them together (as in the story of "The Green Cheese Lobster".) The next step is to link these features with neighbors. For instance "North of the walled plain ___ is Mare Frigoris ("cold up north"). I'll bet the skiing is good on Montes ___ nearby, but you'd probably want to overnite in the Alpine Valley but don't forget that day trip to the walled plain."
