"I have a..." – Expressing possession and ownership in Russian

"Having" something is common in English, but in Russian we'll express this idea in a very different way. In this video you'll learn how to talk about possession ("I have the keys") and ownership ("I have a cat").
It's one of the most common uses of the genitive case in Russian. We'll also touch on when to use есть, and when to leave it out. Here's a hint: how is saying someone has a cat different from saying someone has green eyes?
