If your old Tumtec fusion splicer happen to have the "alignment motor over limit" issue, please contact your local dealer for software udpate (need serial number) and do manual adjustment from "Maintain' menu.
Tips:
1. do routine cleaning of the splicer, use blade to clean the v-groove, use brush to clean the main panel;
2. Use alcohol to clean the fiber before cleaving & splicing;
3. Place the fiber in between the electrode central point and edge of the v-groove.
