This video tutorial provides extra support in solving place value problems a student may see on a worksheet or test. This tutorial is not to be used in place of teaching but something extra a student may find helpful after they have been formally taught place value by their teacher. Various types of problems are reviewed. The use of a place value chart for reading and writing numbers in order to solve problems is encouraged. Students will also see place value questions using standard and written form, expanded form, and finding the value of a number.
Students can also reinforce their place value skills by playing our online place value games such as, Which Number?
