We Took Our Campervan to Stornoway… And Didn’t Want to Leave! Vanlife UK in the Outer Hebrides

Описание: Join us as we take our campervan Teddy to Stornoway, the gateway to the stunning Isle of Lewis in Scotland's Outer Hebrides. From rugged coastlines to cozy wild camping spots, this journey is all about adventure, history and breath-taking island scenery.

We explore the town and deal with how weird it feels to be back in 'civilisation' again. So many cars! We treat ourselves to some world famous Stornoway Black Pudding from the butchers, Charles Macleod; cheeky sausages too!

We then head to the Woodlands Café at Lews Castle for a delicious lunch before visiting the Museum nan Eilean to see the amazing and world-famous Lewis Chessmen. A bucket list item for Naomi! Tears flowed... silly, girl! The Harris Tweed wedding dress is glorious!

Whilst in Stornoway, we parked here for free. Our 6m van just fitted! ///webcams.froze.huddling

We love a lighthouse so we head to Tiumpan Head, the most easterly point of the Outer Hebrides, before a visit to The Blue Coop, a brilliant honesty shop!

Then it's time for a road trip south to find our final campsite on the Western Isles. On the way to the Isle of Harris, we stop at the Taste 'n Sea food truck but sadly it was closed. Do tell us if you recognise Mr Caterpillar! What will he grow into?

Small detour to see Bunabhainneadar Tennis Court, possibly the most remote tennis court in Scotland if not the world!

Finally we arrive at the stunning campsite at Pairc Niseaboist. That view!!!
