Описание: Belfast Activity Centre is an independent adventure learning charity that works with schools, youth and community groups, businesses and individuals. This short video shows highlights in the development of BAC over the last thirty years.

It began in 1989 as an Inner City Special Project, delivering the Duke of Edinburgh's Open Award across all areas of Belfast. To make it accessible to all communities, each young person can choose to receive the DofE award, the Presidents Award (Gaisce) or the International Award.

Since 1989, BAC has created hundreds of thousands of exciting, challenging and motivating experiences that have transformed the lives of people of all ages, backgrounds, communities and abilities. BAC core projects and longer term programmes are prioritised to engage children and young people with physical and mental disabilities special learning needs and people who are economically or socially disadvantaged. BAC has become a pioneer in outdoor adventure learning with facilities that include an artificial limestone cave and innovative schools programmes that link directly to the national curriculum.
