Frykstad-Clara Elf's Railroad was Sweden's first for public traffic and ranged between the lake Fryken in Kil and Lyckan in Forshaga. Inaugurated by King Oscar I in september 1849. Initially the railroad cars were pulled by horses and oxes, the first steam locomotive was introduced in 1856.
This locomotive, SJ B 1143, was built 1913 by AB Motala Verkstad, Sweden, manufacturing nr 489.
In 2016 the locomotive with it's tender coal-car, total weight 100 tons, was moved by a specially built road trailer from Kil to Fryksta to it's final destination Fryksta Railroad Museum where this photo was taken on a rainy day in the beginning of July 2017.
