"Birds Road is a perfect addition to any band’s repertoire. The work is split into three sections. The first section is a march like movement with a funky theme dominated by the lower section of the band. This moves to a sorrowful section in quite a contrast to opening section. The final section becomes a morphing of the other two section’s themes before coming to a rousing finish. The piece takes you on adventure through the musical styles, there is something for all the band to enjoy! "
