FULL: Senate holds hearing over Jack Smith's 'Artic Frost' investigation

Описание: WASHINGTON (WCIV) — During a hearing marked by allegations that phone records of sitting members of Congress were secretly obtained to bypass constitutional protections, Sen. Lindsey Graham said the system failed him.

Graham, during his allotted time, pressed executives from Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile on their disclosure of phone data, claiming it broke a contractual obligation to protect him as a sitting senator.

"I don't deserve what happened to me," Graham said. "You failed me. You failed to honor the contract protecting all of us. ... This is a major breakdown of constitutional checks and balances, and a major breakdown of protecting people you have a contractual obligation to protect, and, I think, the biggest weaponization of the law."
