This is the first in a series I call Technology Time Warp in which I'll discuss vintage technology related to anything automotive. In this first episode, I discuss the FuzzBuster II radar detector.
I chose this particular model of radar detector as my father owned one back in the day. As a child, I was fascinated by the single glowing robot eye that lit up when a cop was near by.
These are of course not much use these days as police radar technology has advanced far beyond the capabilities of this device. I did try it out on the road but it just goes off as you pass grocery stores and even modern cars with radar cruise control seem to set it off.
This is obviously a bit different from my usual Car Tales videos, so I do hope you enjoy. Please feel free to comment and also please write if you have any retro car related electronics you would like me to cover.
