Thanks for checking out the video! I hope it helps at least a couple people get their Prius fixed.
A couple things I forgot to mention in the video:
Weak trunk struts can contribute to your handle breaking. If your liftgate struts can't lift up the trunk, you will be applying more force to the handle every time you use it. Consider replacing your liftgate struts.
I printed the inserts using PETG for its heat resistance and strength.
