🕰️ HISTORY OF SHREWSBURY: A TOWN STEEPED IN TIME

Nestled in a loop of the River Severn, Shrewsbury boasts over 660 listed buildings, many of them timber-framed structures that date back to the 15th and 16th centuries. The town has retained its medieval street pattern, giving visitors a sense of stepping back in time. From its origins as a Saxon settlement to its prominence during the Norman and Tudor eras, Shrewsbury has always been a focal point in British history.

🏰 SHREWSBURY CASTLE: THE NORMAN FORTRESS
One of the highlights of our tour is the magnificent Shrewsbury Castle, located near the town center. Built in 1074 by Roger de Montgomery, a trusted lieutenant of William the Conqueror, the castle served as a defensive stronghold during the Norman conquest of England.
