Filmed in November 2023, a month after the war in Gaza began. The streets of old city Jerusalem would usually be packed with visitors but this time, it's quiet and the locals have the magnificent and historic city to themselves.
Setrag Balian, an Armenian Jerusalemite and activist leader of Save The Armenian Quarter (Save the ArQ) movement gives us a tour of the Armenian quarter and tells several stories intertwined with the structures that span centuries and millennia. He also explains the origin of the Cow's Garden feud between the Armenian community of Jerusalem and the real estate development company, Xana Gardens LTD.
Save The Arq movement began in light of a shady deal made without the knowledge of the Armenian community in Jerusalem. A deal that fractured the Armenian quarter and until today, pushes the Armenians to lawfully fight against a great injustice.
