So what should you do when you are in a major storm? What type of damage is covered? Damage covered can include hail damage from hailstorms, wind damage from windstorms, tornadoes, etc. They cover damage from an actual event. The reason is because they need a loss date to cover the damage.
Damage that typically is not covered is normal wear and tear that occurs over time. They also do not cover blistering from the sun or tree rub that damages the roof.
