Twelve Roma people (six women and six men) were elected as Local Councillors in the general local elections held in Moldova in 2019.
Some of them attended a training on capacity development of local elected representatives, organised with UNDP support.
The participants learned best practices of more effective communication, civic participation, mediation, people motivation. They depicted the role of the Councillor in the community and how to promote civic initiatives.
