Otto Hashmi performing 'Walker', the closing track from his eponymous 2020 EP, live at Brighton Festival Tuesday 9 May 2023 supporting Shabaka Hutchings (Sons of Kemet, The Comet is Coming, Sun Ra Arkestra).

This set marked the first public performance of his 2023 EP 'Music for the End Times' which brought together sounds of London club music and recorder harmonies. Shabaka Hutching's set explored flutes collected across his world travels expressing the rhythms and melodic patterns that form the foundation of his musical conception. Brighton Festival 2023 was curated by musician and DJ Nabihah Iqbal (NTS, BBC Radio 6, Glory to Sound).
Otto Hashmi's final performance for 2023 will be at Kunstraum, London on Wed 6th December, performing a set of ancient and contemporary music for solo Recorder with Electronics, as part of the Rothko Collective's 'Festival Unboring'. Tickets: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/rothko...
